Season starts in less then a month. Everyone needs to get ultra focused at our last few indoor practice s so we can transition everything to the field outside & be ready come game time. Warm-ups ultra focused 3 line so we can keep the lines in sync and together. If done properly we should start to see beads of sweat on your forehead. If not then we're probably not warmed up yet.

WORK HARD- Working Hard is different then hard work. Working hard is an Action & its a Decision. As a leader and an athlete on this team your coaches expect you to work hard. Working Hard on the field, in the classroom & in life is up to you! Your either working hard or you not..doing it or your not. At practice & on game day, Your the exception if your not working hard. This train is moving &at times its going to move fast & your going to decide whether your onboard or your going to get left behind. We all need to understand the true meaning & expectation of working hard is something we do NOT because we are told to do so but becasue we want to. --- WORK HARD it's HARD WORK & it's Worth

4' Kneeling Wrist Flips - 15-20' Kneeling Throws - 20' Cement Throws - Catch moving distance progressively further - finish with a quick receiving toss

LETS EAT--3 lines Total distance 50' Player on one end with a ball, Coaches on other end as feeders. ROUND 1 player throws ball to coach. once coaches receives the ball & is set the Player runs to the next cone while coach the coach feeds them a grounder right at them fielding it properly replacing glove with back foot. Player throws back to coach and onve set they will get a line drive at them & make an easy throw back to the coach. they will then run straight back to where they started looking for a football throw. receive the ball back in line. Repeat with each player then mix up rounds. Can start with stationary pop up then hops and backhands. move them to the left & Right. etc..

Coach at 1B & 3B 1. (quickly) Demonstrate Leads at 1B & explain difference between leads at 2B & 3B. 2. Drill- 1 runner at home running hard 60' through 1B. 1 runner at 2B runnung hard to Home- 1 runner at 1B taking hard "AIRPLANE LEAD" staying in shuffle position, when they see the runner hit 3B they will see (PASSED BALL or Ball in Dirt) & then break to 2B. Runners will get back in line at Home & renter the drill. - Start with proper "AIRPLANE LEADS" at 1B with either Rocker or cross step but enforce getiing off the bag "ON-TIME", "AGRESSIVE & LOW" for the first 4 steps.

Runners on 1st & 3rd - DEEP FLY runner at 1b get proper lead advancing half way to 2B turning body to face the OF staying in shuffle position if caught back to 1B if dropped advance to 2B or beyond. Coach at 3B will give signal to stay or advanceRunner at 3B stay on bag tag up & score on catch or advance if dropped.
