Baseball diamond is set up. 5 players take the field (P, 3rd, SS, 2nd, 1st), remaining players are baserunners. Infield focuses on appropriate base put outs, situational outs (0,1,2)
Steal Coverage
stopwatch 6:40-7:00 timer 20 Minutes
Divide into 3 group; baserunners, 2nd/SS and Catchers. Baserunner "peel off" away from base to avoid injury. Focus of the drill is to encourage communication of duties (middle infield), proper feet position on bag (catch, swipe, show). Catchers throws are online, 2-3 hops to bag is better than blooper/arrant throw
Ground Ball Competition
stopwatch 7:00-7:15 timer 15 Minutes
Final Drill. Two Lines with one Catch net. First team to 5 wins; must execute proper Right Left Ready, Fielding Triangle, POP Shuffle Shuffle, Throw into catch net. 2 coaches will score
Foul Line Drill
stopwatch 7:15-7:30 timer 15 Minutes
Competition; Split into 2 teams; First team to 5 points wins.
